Role Description:
Unified Infotech is looking for an experienced Pre-Sales Manager with a strong foundation in Business Analysis (BA) to take on a hybrid role that combines 75% BA responsibilities with 25% managing the presales proposal preparation process. As a Pre-Sales Manager, your key responsibilities will include collaborating closely with clients, technical teams, and internal stakeholders to define requirements, draft proposals, and manage pre-sales activities while ensuring quality product delivery from the functional side. You will drive the end-to-end process of capturing business requirements, preparing technical solutions, and leading the proposal preparation for prospective clients.This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both technical analysis and client-facing pre-sales activities. You will be a vital part of a dynamic team, helping to identify new business opportunities and ensuring that our solutions meet the needs of diverse industries.
Key Responsibilities:
Pre-Sales Management:
- Oversee and drive end-to-end presales activities, including coordinating with internal teams to create and deliver proposal documents (RFI/RFP/RFQ).
- Manage and facilitate discussions with clients to gather requirements, analyze business needs, and create solutions that align with both technical and business goals.
- Collaborate with the sales team to ensure that client expectations and deadlines are met, while also aligning internal technical resources for accurate estimation and planning.
- Review and refine proposal documentation, ensuring alignment with client requirements and company capabilities.
- Manage the creation and validation of Proof of Concepts (POCs) as needed to demonstrate the feasibility of solutions.
- Support sales managers with project planning, status reporting, and tracking of proposals.
Business Analysis (BA):
- Independently gather and analyze business requirements, working closely with business owners and subject matter experts to translate those needs into functional specifications and technical requirements.
- Define features, scope, and user flows for applications, and document requirements clearly for technical teams.
- Perform gap analysis and document discrepancies between current capabilities and business needs.
- Ensure that the proposed solution addresses all business needs, usability, performance, and feasibility concerns.
- Maintain and update business descriptions, such as Epic Mapping, user flows, and relevant documentation.
- Conduct research on business needs, industries, and market fit to support proposal development.
- Create wireframes and other supporting materials as needed to communicate user requirements effectively.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
- Act as a liaison between clients, business units, and technology teams to ensure a smooth flow of information and alignment on project goals.
- Organize and facilitate pre-sales meetings and workshops with clients, gathering input and feedback to refine requirements.
- Ensure the creation and management of high-quality, detailed documentation, including functional specifications, user stories, and other relevant artifacts.
- Lead internal meetings to review proposals, validate requirements, and confirm solutions.
Project Estimation and Validation:
- Lead the estimation process for presales opportunities, collaborating with technical teams to define timeframes, resources, and costs.
- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders for approvals of proposals and estimations.
- Ensure that the requirements captured during pre-sales are validated during the development phase.
Desired Experience:
- 6+ years of experience as a Pre-Sales Business Analyst or Solution Consultant for web and mobile IT products.
- Extensive experience in Pre-Sales management, including leading proposal preparation and managing client relationships during the pre-sales process.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret business needs and translate them into clear functional and technical requirements.
- Proficiency in managing multiple stakeholders and coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver quality solutions on time.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients, both technically and non-technically.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of various industries and an openness to researching and adapting to new markets.
- Familiarity with tools like Confluence, JIRA, Visio, Excel, Word, and PPT for documentation and presentation purposes.
Job Requirements:
- Strong understanding of how to create business cases and estimates for presales opportunities, including writing and presenting proposals.
- Ability to manage multiple presales opportunities simultaneously while ensuring that each client’s needs are met.
- Analytical and highly organized, with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Experience with wireframing, user flow documentation, and other tools to support BA activities.
- Ability to drive consensus between clients, business units, and technical teams, ensuring a shared understanding of project requirements.
