Job Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and reliable System Administrator with 1-2 years of experience to join our growing IT team. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of system administration, network management, and troubleshooting across various platforms. This role will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our IT infrastructure to ensure smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Administration:
- Manage and support server environments, including both Windows and Linux systems.
- Ensure regular system updates and patches are applied to keep the infrastructure secure.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and overall health, troubleshooting issues as needed.
- Configure, manage, and monitor network services like DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.
- User & Access Management:
- Create and manage user accounts, permissions, and groups in Active Directory and other systems.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for internal users and departments.
- Assist with the setup and configuration of new workstations, laptops, and other devices.
- Backup & Disaster Recovery:
- Implement, monitor, and verify system backup solutions.
- Assist in the preparation and execution of disaster recovery plans.
- Security Management:
- Ensure system security by configuring firewalls, antivirus software, and other security tools.
- Assist in monitoring security logs and addressing any vulnerabilities or incidents.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain system documentation, including configurations, troubleshooting steps, and procedures.
- Assist with the generation of regular IT performance reports for management.
Required Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience as a System Administrator or in a related IT role.
- Strong understanding of operating systems (Windows Server, Linux).
- Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs).
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) is a plus.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) is beneficial but not required.
- Knowledge of security protocols, backup, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Experience with system monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds) is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
